Siobhan Davies Dance launched a newly commissioned dance film at BFI Southbank for Big Dance Week.
Interdisciplinary artist Lucy Cash and Videographer Becky Edmunds were commissioned by Siobhan Davies Dance to create a film in which people describe and demonstrate the movements of their everyday lives. The film features groups from across the South London Big Dance Hub that are brought together through a common need or desire to move. From Capoeira to Morris dancing, gardening to climbing, each of them have been invited to explore and describe these movements.

Featured Groups:
Croydon – Dancers from The Wildhunt Bedlam Morris
Kingston-upon-Thames – Horse Riders from Ham House Stables
Lambeth – U13’s Girls Football
Merton – Capoeira (ACER)
Southwark – London Wildlife Trust: Elders Gardening Club
Sutton – Rock climbers from the Craggy Island Climbing Centre
Wandsworth – Cold water swimmers from South London Swimming Club
