A dance film seeking south London residents
Artists Lucy Cash and Becky Edmunds are recruiting south London residents to take part in a new dance film. Pedestrian is a playful three minute film about walking, and will be screened in cinemas throughout Big Dance week in July.

Walking Piece
Performance project for adults
Walking Piece is an installation performance by choreographer Matthias Sperling in which 50 performers come together to form a single file loop that continuously circumnavigates Siobhan Davies Studios and one other location. We are looking for adults (aged 16+) to take part. No previous dance experience is required.

Still Moving
Dance photography course for adults
Still Moving offers an opportunity for amateur photographers to work with established dance photographer Pari Naderi. The course will include group sessions, mentoring, and photoshoot opportunities. The resulting work will be projected onto south London buildings during Big Dance week.

50 days of movement – A public blog
Sign up to take part in 50 days of photographing movement in your everyday life, and upload your pictures to our blog. This will build into a collection of movement searchable by photographer, location and tags, and will lead to an online exhibition of the highlights.

Siobhan Davies Dance is the Big Dance Hub for south London, providing a programme which works with local authorities to reach seven London Boroughs: Croydon, Kingston upon Thames, Lambeth, Merton, Southwark, Sutton and Wandsworth.
Siobhan Davies Dance's Big Dance programme provides extensive opportunities for people from all backgrounds (from beginners to professional dance artists) to work with leading professionals on a variety of projects, and is delivered in conjunction with the Creative Projects programme.
Big Dance festival 2012 features nine days of dance in unusual spaces throughout London - shops, parks, galleries, shopping centres and theatres - showcasing the diversity of dance styles in the UK. It will take place across the country from 7 - 15 July 2012 and includes a seven week countdown period starting on 18 May 2012.
