In the fourth year of the project, Jerwood Bank 2005 gave the following six dance artists the opportunity to take part in this project:
Flora Bourderon
Flora Bourderon has worked with Ballet Preljocaj, Ballet National de l’Opera de Lyon and Ballet de l’Opera de Nice in France and, since her move to London, she works with the Russell Maliphant Company.
Theo Clinkard
Theo Clinkard has performed with Random Dance Company, Arc Dance Company, The Cholmondeleys and the Featherstonehoughs, Walker Dance Park Music and Matthew Bourne’s New Adventures.
Zoi Dimitriou
Zoi Dimitriou has performed with the Yvonne Rainer Group, Kirstie Simson Improvisation Group and Feliz Ruckert Group. She also teaches at the Laban Centre London.
Maho Ihara
Maho Ihara has danced with Intoto Dance, The Cholmondeleys, Retina Dance Company and Akram Khan amongst others and won the Bonnie Bird Award 2002. She recently performed at the Clore Studio at the Royal Opera House as part of the Snagged and Clored Summer Collection.
Niklas Laustiola
Niklas Laustiola was a member of Random Dance Company and has also worked with Rafael Bonachela and Michael Clark. He received the Bonnie Bird New Choreography Award in 2003 and his work has been performed at the Royal Opera House Clore Studio and the Place.
Annie pui ling Lok
Annie pui ling Lok has performed with Disco Sister, Carol Brown and Nic Sandiland. Commissions include ‘Rest Less Me’ (2005) for dancer Shamita Ray, Tanzfabric, Berlin, and ‘We Got Old’ Dance4Camera Commission 2002.
Details
Jerwood Bank 2005, led by Sarah Warsop and Deborah Saxon culminated in informal studio showings at the Jerwood Space in London.
