In its fifth year, Jerwood Bank 2006 took place for the first time in the Siobhan Davies Studios from the 19th June to the 28th July. The following six dancers were selected through audition to participate in this project:
- Donatella Cabras (Italy)
- Innpang Ooi (Malaysia)
- Kham Halsackda (Britain)
- Joanne Fong (Britain)
- Brandi Norton (USA)
- Matthias Sperling (Germany/Canada)
These six dancers, selected from over 100 worldwide, received a bursary, and, using the original ideas, questions and tasks that informed the making of the company’s latest work In Plain Clothes as a starting point, identified and developed the skills they need to extend their understanding of the creative and decision-making processes involved in being a maturing dance artist. The participants worked closely with company dancers Sarah Warsop and Deborah Saxon as project leaders, with the project overseen by Siobhan Davies.
