My Space, Your Space, Our Space was a two week summer project involving 30 young people which led to a public performance. Based at the Serpentine Gallery Pavilion in Kensington Gardens, they worked with professional artists from different mediums to create a site specific performance. Siobhan Davies Dance used the architecture of the pavilion space as a choreographic stimulus.
YeastCulture, a visual and digital media company, gave the participants the opportunity to create their own film and photographs which they projected with live images around the space. Musician Jason Yarde led workshops to support young people in making their own evocative soundtrack, which included moments of live improvisation. Spoken word artist Zena Edwards, challenged the young people to write and perform poems and songs which explored the themes of the project.
