Pilates

Laura’s unique style is particularly influenced by release technique, Scaravelli yoga and body mind centering.

Pilates works the whole body, its aim is to develop the ‘core’ muscles, in order to undo bad posture and encourage dynamic alignment. The aim of Pilates is to restore the natural strength of the body, to work to its full potential with the least amount of effort.

The Pilates Method represents a unique approach to exercise that develops body awareness, improving and changing the body's postural and alignment habits and increasing flexibility and ease of movement. The core fundamentals of the Method are based upon a thorough understanding of the anatomy of the human body.

"Physical fitness is the first requisite of happiness. In order to achieve happiness, it is imperative to gain mastery of your body. If at the age of 30 you are stiff and out of shape, you are old. If at 60 you are supple and strong then you are young." Joseph Hubertus Pilates
