Still Moving

Visual Art Exhibition & Workshop

Siobhan Davies Dance, Creative Projects

Still Moving is a touring exhibition which investigates choreography as a stimulus for photography and film. It showcases works by participants from Siobhan Davies Dance's Capture dance-photography course and Seven Ways South, a short film commissioned by Siobhan Davies Dance for Big Dance 2010. This exhibition focuses on the creative choices of those who move and those who watch, to create a dialogue between these art forms. Still Moving opened at Siobhan Davies Studios alongside a new work created by Lucy Cash, before travelling to libraries and theatres across south London.

Composing From Everyday Life Workshop

Film artists Lucy Cash and Becky Edmunds offer a workshop at each of the touring venues, using some of the processes used in the making of their film, Seven Ways South. Participants will explore choreography as something that can be separated from dance and which involves unique ways of thinking to do with structure. The workshop will draw inspiration from the world around us and offer ways of seeing it differently.

Upcoming workshop dates:
Wednesday 18 January 2012, 6:30 - 7:45pm
Canada Water Library, Southwark
Places are free but must be booked in advance - please call Siobhan Davies Studios to book (020 7091 9650)
