Enda Butler, B. Ost

Enda principally offers Osteopathy at Siobhan Davies Studios, but also Dry Needling, Reiki and Massage. These extra disciplines can be integrated with osteopathic treatment or as stand-alone treatments, depending on the needs of the individual. Enda graduated from the British School of Osteopathy (BSO) in 2009, and was awarded the College’s Gold Medal for academic achievement and dedication to the college and fellow students. He now teaches on the BSO’s Masters in Osteopathy course. As a primary health care practitioner, Enda is trained to assess a wide range of factors contributing to a person’s overall health. His main treatment focus is through the neuro-musculo-skeletal aspect (the nerves, muscles, deep and superficial fascia, joints, overall posture and biomechanics).

Osteopathy

The osteopath seeks to support people’s ability to adapt and adjust in a way that is tailored to that individual’s needs. This is done through gentle, skilful use of manual therapy and knowledge applied to a person’s condition(s). The therapist will also provide advice directed at enhancing the health and function of the individual that will be useful during and after a treatment.

Typically, a first consultation lasts around one hour. This will consist of a detailed case history, physical examination and treatment. Follow-up sessions last around 30 to 45 minutes and will consist of reassessment and treatment.
