Acupuncture

Traditional Chinese medical acupuncture treats a wide range of conditions. These are just a few:

  • Aches and pains
  • Addictions
  • Anxiety and depression
  • Arthritis and joint pain
  • Digestive problems
  • Fertility (male and female)
  • Headache and tension
  • Injuries (old and new)
  • IVF support
  • Menstrual problems
  • Pregnancy support
  • Postnatal care
  • Stress (physical and psychological)

Acupuncture is a system of healing which has been in existence for thousands of years. It offers a holistic approach to health and aims to restore the body’s natural balance, focusing not just on the isolated treatment of a specific symptom but on harmonizing the physical, emotional and psychological levels of each person. Many people also say they feel a general improvement of their health, better sleep patterns and an increased overall sense of wellbeing. As well as activating the body to heal itself when an imbalance is present, acupuncture is also a powerful preventative medicine.

“I look forward to my monthly visits. I feel better than I have in years with more energy and a calmness I mislaid some time ago”
“The headaches I had since adolescence disappeared after the first few treatments”

Holistic Massage

Massage plays an important role in releasing and relieving tension, pain and toxins that build up in muscles and soft tissues – effecting normal levels of comfort. It aids circulation and movement of blood, lymph and the fluids surrounding every cell in the body, while soothing the nervous system and improving skin nutrition. As well as being a helpful aid to prevent a build up of body tension it also increases feelings of wellbeing and relaxation and can help to combat stress.

“I come in feeling tense and stiff and always leave feeling lighter, relaxed and more flexible”
“Since receiving regular massage treatments the cramps in my legs are less frequent and not as painful. This has improved my football playing stamina”

Tui-Na Acupressure Massage

Tui-Na is a form of traditional Chinese massage. It translates as ‘push’ and ‘grab’ and is an integral part of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Working on muscles, joints and the nervous system it uses specific techniques to target pain, tension and stiffness. The body’s own healing mechanisms are encouraged by moving internal and /or external blocked energy patterns on Physical, emotional and psychological levels. It stimulates acupuncture points, stretches and opens joints as well as using deep muscle massage and soft tissue release. It has been likened to acupuncture without the needles.

“The difference in my shoulder means I can get a decent night’s sleep now”
“As well as being less tense and achey, I feel more in control of my life”
