Town Square Chats | Rest and Recuperation Fri 7 Feb 2025, 12.30 – 1.30pm

Share (in)expertise and experience.

Town Square Chats are for dance artists, art workers and SDS staff to get stuck into the “how” of continuing making and moving. Conversational sessions happen twice a season and focus on topics specific to artistic practice, with space to share skills, strategies and reflections.

In Spring 2025 we’re talking about the challenging balancing act between the desire or demand for productivity, and the necessity and potential of taking time for respite.

In this first session we’re talking about Rest and Recuperation.

  • What does rest or recuperation look like for you – whether this is imposed or sought?
  • Where is there time and space for rest and recovery?
  • How can we better support each other to take time-out?
  • How do we return to activity?

Our Town Square offer is made up Studio, Co-working, Chat, Listening Circles and Rest spaces. Find out about each strand here.
