Create from personal, collective and explorative movement. With Laura Doehler.
Following on from our weekly Creative Contemporary class, this one-day workshop will delve into how explorative movement can develop into expressive choreography.
This is an opportunity to expand on your choreographic sense-making. By integrating our natural movement patterns into a making process, we will build a vocabulary that inspires expression and dialogue. Together we will explore and dismantle why we do what we do and what it is we want to make visible. Through collective and personal movement scores, we will become each other’s choreographers and performers.
Just like our regular Creative Contemporary class, this workshop will encourage moving with ease, personal expression and joyful creativity, drawing on Release Technique and Somatics, two areas of Contemporary Dance.
This workshop is suitable for beginners, as well as those with experience.
