Workshop with Annie Tue 5 Dec – Fri 8 Dec 2023

A 4-day workshop with SDS’s Co-Artistic Director Annie Pui Ling Lok.

This workshop will explore dancing in contact with others again after the long hiatus of the pandemic. It is an invitation to re-examine how we want to/can be in touch again, right now.

The workshop will combine elements of Annie’s work – performance, choreography, contemporary improvisation and biodynamic craniosacral therapy. Guided work in tuning proprioception, observing physical sensations and use of anatomical and physiological information, will lead us into noticing choice, agency and desire. Gradually, we will work our way into giving and receiving touch, support and weight.

This workshop will invite touch between participants.
