Siobhan Davies Studios partners with primary and secondary schools to deliver inclusive and experiential learning through dance.
Our workshops in schools promote agency, creativity, collaboration, and well-being, as well as deepening understanding of curriculum topics. With over 10 years of experience behind us, we’ve seen the way learning through dance enhances the experiences of all students, especially SEND learners.
Our practical and inspiring CPD sessions equip teachers to use dance as a powerful cross-curricular tool, encompassing all modes of learning, as well as a creative discipline in its own right.

“The children are always so excited for dance sessions and it’s a great way to consolidate and extend their learning for our rainforest topic. Especially the key vocabulary.”
Year 2 Teacher, Charlotte Sharman Primary School
“These sessions really help children build confidence in so many ways and really help bring forward elements in children’s skills and personalities that are not always displayed in classroom.”

How we work
With students
We work with students in school settings, or in our RIBA award winning dance studio, tailoring our approach in dialogue with schools.
We can deliver:
Regular curriculum-linked workshops over a half or full term (up to 10 weeks)
These are creative dance sessions that bring curriculum topics to life through movement. Working consistently across a half or full term allows students to make meaningful connections, explore new modes of enquiry and deepen understanding.
Stand-alone bespoke workshops
These playful and creative sessions are designed to get children moving, exploring, and connecting. Perfect for special events, festivals, or one-off workshops, these sessions celebrate collaboration, creativity, and joyful discovery, creating memorable experiences that spark curiosity and creativity beyond the curriculum.
Move and Learn Method
- Our approach gets children up out of their chairs, excited and physically engaged in their learning.
- Our workshops develop students’ dance and choreography skills, alongside their critical thinking, speaking and listening, leadership and teamwork.
- The work also supports pupils’ social, emotional and cultural development.
With teachers
Our Continued Professional Development workshops and courses give teachers a practical understanding of how to integrate dance and choreography into everyday curriculum teaching. Sessions develop confidence in incorporating dance and creativity across subjects, supporting active and embodied learning in the classroom.
Teachers will gain new skills to plan and facilitate inclusive dance sessions that advance students’ dance and choreographic skills, nurture curiosity & creativity — unlocking new ways to teach and inspire. We share our accessible methodology that can be applied to all contexts. Resource packs and lesson planning documents are included.
“When I dance, I learn how to put my imagination into a movement… It helps me learn how to bring out my potential, how to work as a team and how to be brave about dance”
