Ben Harman has been Director of Stills: Centre for Photography, Edinburgh since 2014. Stills was established in 1977 and is one of the oldest photography galleries in the UK. It provides exhibitions, learning and production facilities to support the advancement, discovery, exploration and understanding of photography. Ben was previously Curator of Contemporary Art for Glasgow Museums and Lead Curator on Glasgow’s Art Fund International collecting project. His curated exhibitions for the Gallery of Modern Art, Glasgow (GoMA) have included: Every Day (2013), Tales of the City (2012); Alasdair Gray: City Recorder (2011); Jim Lambie: Forever Changes (2008) and Barbara Kruger (2005). Other curated projects include: The Medium is the Message, Glasgow Print Studio (2012) and The Work of Patti Smith, Mitchell Library, Glasgow (2006).
