Christian Kerrigan was born in Co Wicklow in Ireland in 1979. He studied architectural technology at Dublin Institute of Technology, architecture at Edinburgh College of Art, and completed his MA with Distinction at The Bartlett School of Architecture in 2007. He now lives and works in London where he is a fully qualified architect and a visual artist. He has lectured and tutored at Chelsea College of Art, Greenwich University and he has spoken at numerous conferences such as Leonardo ISSAT Art papers SIGGRAPH, New Orleans, Generative Art International, Milan and GSK New Contemporary Art season at the Royal Academy of Arts.
He has exhibited his work in the US, Europe and the UK and in 2010 he was awarded artist in residence at the V&A museum.
Both in his architectural outlook and artistic practice he borrows from scientific methods and merges this with computer technologies in order explore the cross over between our culture and the natural world.
