After graduating with a first class BA (Hons) in Dance Studies from Middlesex University, Marie joined Loop Dance Company as a dancer. She has since toured works by choreographers including; Yael Flexor, Jonzi D, Fillip Van Huffel, Rashpal Singh Bansal, Nina Atkinson, Annie Lok, Joss Arnott and Sivan Rubinstein.
Marie has extensive experience in coordinating and delivering dance bngprojects for the community and specialises in working with older adults. She has collaborated on a number of large scale community projects working with a range of people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities to produce high quality performance pieces. Recent projects include co-directing The Little Witch intergenerational project for The Place, London and a British Council funded community music and dance project in Kathmandu, Nepal.
Marie has a Post Graduate Certificate in Education and Qualified Teacher Status and is a Dance Lecturer at Trinity Laban and Canterbury Christ Church University where she teaches Community Dance Development and Dance Pedagogy. Marie currently teaches for the
adult Classes and Courses at The Place, London and was the lead teacher for the older adults courses during 2015-2017. She is a Dance Artist for the Primary School projects at Siobhan Davies Dance delivering teacher training at Institute of Education and London South Bank University. Marie shares her knowledge by writing educational resource packs for company’s such as Central School for Ballet, Royal Opera House, Siobhan Davies Dance and English National Ballet.
