Pepa Ubera is an artist based in London whose choreographic practice expands into curatorial projects and the use of video in performance. Her work challenges social structures, questioning how the body behaves in the current context. She explores the potential of sharing real time spaces as opportunities to deal with the unknown and the poetic as tools for transformation. Since 2015 Pepa has been one of the Sadler's Wells Summer University artists and has twice been awarded a Dance Web Scholarship at the Impulstanz Festival in Vienna. She has presented work in the UK, Europe and Chile and performed in venues such as The Place, ICA, Kampnagel, Barbican Botanic Gardens, and the Hayward Gallery.
Her latest collaboration with Josefina Camus: Ellipsis Land opened the first TATE's Live Exhibition: Ten Days Six Nights at the Tanks in March and returned to Sadler's Wells Theatre in November.
