Richard Reynolds, is also known as The Guerrilla Gardener. His nocturnal gardening in public land without permission around his local neighbourhood of the Elephant and Castle since 2004 have led to him becoming an accidental activist and artist. He has rallied thousands around the world to take local public realm into their own hands by planting and caring for neglected space. As well as regular presentations on the subject and his book "On Guerrilla Gardening" (Bloomsbury, 2008) he has popularised guerrilla gardening around the world with performances and installations with institutions including Kulturehuset in Stockholm Sweden, Folkwang in Essen Germany, Parkowanie in Gdańsk Poland, GeoAir in Mestia and Tibilisi Georgia, The British Council in Moscow, Botswana and New Zealand and The Garden Museum, RHS Hampton Court Palace show and windows for Selfrdiges and Liberty in London.
