Romany Dear is an artist currently living and working in Glasgow, she works as a freelance teacher for the inclusive dance organaisation, Indepen-dance. Romany graduated from the Environmental Art course at Glasgow School of Art in 2011 and co-founded the organisation, Glasgow Open Dance School with Julia Scott and Ashanti Harris. G.O.D.S is a not for profit dance organisation that facilitates FREE movement and dance related workshops and resources in Glasgow. Romany's first major solo show, titled Dancing in a circle is a reminder that we are part of the whole, was held at the CCA, Glasgow in 2015. Her work has also been included in Continue without losing consciousness, DCA Dundee, (2014); The Glasgow Weekend, Volksbuhne Theatre, Berlin (2013), Dance is a Language That We Speak, Intermedia Gallery, Glasgow (2013) and Studio 58: Women Artists Since World War 2, Mackintosh Gallery, Glasgow, (2012).
