Stefan Jovanović is an architect (AA Diploma), dance-theatre-maker and storyteller working at the threshold between performance and ceremony. His current research looks at the translation of systemic family constellations and somatic experiencing into dance and architecture. In late 2017, he launched a performance-series in London, called Velvet Fools, exploring ceremonial dance as a practice for healing.
He is currently working on a solo with dancer Katye Coe, entitled Blackbird; and a performance-exhibition with dancer Mark Lorimer and artist Juergen Staack, entitled Shadows.
He is part of the Sadler's Wells Summer University, under direction of Jonathan Burrows and Eva Martinez (2014-2018). In 2016 he was a recipient of the Impulstanz danceWEB scholarship, under mentorship of Tino Sehgal & Louise Höjer. He has previously collaborated with Meg Stuart, Jen Rosenblit, Tanztheater Wuppertal, Boris Charmatz & labDora.
