Visual Art Exhibition

I’ll Be Your Mirror
13 May – 25 June 2011

Ruth Proctor presented a new work stimulated by the inherent functions of Siobhan Davies Studios, exploring moments of choreography, performance and rehearsal. Using visual rhythms encompassing objects, imagery and text, Proctor played with movement, repetition and error, and built an active connection between the space of the building and the space of the viewer.

Ruth Proctor was in conversation with Kathy Noble, Curator (Interdisciplinary Projects) at Tate Modern. They discussed the themes in Proctor’s practice, and the presence of performance or the potential of performance within her work.
