Barefoot in the Studio

I am barefoot in the studio at Siobhan Davies Dance. Helen is creating a tableaux of thinking and making on paper, with metal, thread, charcoal dust, blue sellotape. Laila is improvising beautifully in a small triangle of space that both Helen and Laila demarcated the space with silently at the beginning of the session. As before,

they barely need to say anything and the energy between them is such a special quality. One is moving intentionally and the other naturally. They are both improvising but it is as if they are already choreographed.
