Siobhan Davies Dance will partner with two primary schools for an ambitious project involving dance choreography and the brain.
Over ten weeks in the Spring term (January to March 2017) two classes per participating school will work with a professional dance artist one day a week. The pupils, teacher and artist will explore what the body feels when it’s moving; creating dance that rigorously explores this idea, eliciting pupils’ creative responses, and culminating in a sharing of the outcome within the school. A resource pack, including films shared online through our blog, will enable participating teachers and pupils to develop the work after the project.
