We've all seen the beautiful rainbow paintings and drawings in windows everywhere, maybe you have even made your very own rainbow?
How does a rainbow happen?
Do the rainbow colours have a special order?
What's your favourite colour of the rainbow?
Whilst our Children’s classes at Siobhan Davies Studios remain on hold for the summer, we are excited to bring you some fun and creative ideas for dancing in your living room, garden or your local park.
Rainbows have featured largely in our lives since the beginning of lockdown, from thanking our key workers at the NHS to celebrating pride in the month of June, so our children’s class teacher Cheryl McChesney has put together some activities that invite you to explore rainbows through movement at home.
This Rainbow Resource Pack has activities that are suitable for ages 2-9yrs and is available to download as a PDF onto a computer or mobile device/tablet until the 30th August, so you can take it with you wherever you go.
To accompany your moving and grooving at home we have created a playlist on Spotify which you can find here.
Send images of your rainbow creations to Rosa at firstname.lastname@example.org and they might end up on our website!
Our Children’s classes usually run on Saturdays 9.30am-10.15am (2-4 yrs) and 10.30-11.30 (5-11 yrs) during term time. For more information on these classes and for details on how to book click here.
