A talk by Matthias Sperling (choreographer and dance artist) and Dr Guido Orgs (dancer and neuroscientist, Brunel University).
How does our brain process movement? How do our own experiences affect our observations and judgement of human movement?
Matthias and Guido discuss the connections between movement, choreography and perception, considered from the perspectives of performers and viewers, as part of Reactions - a week-long festival of events exploring the opportunities, tensions and overlaps between science and the arts. Reactions is developed and hosted by the Oxford University Museums and Collections.
This event is part of a series of events between Siobhan Davies Dance and the Ashmolean Museum in 2014.
