Siobhan Davies Dance is inviting expressions of interest from dance artists to be part of an exciting international project bringing dance organisations and museums from five European cities together to explore new methods of interacting with audiences (Dancing Museums). This opportunity will be a paid position, with travel and professional development included.
Dancing Museums will set a dialogue among different artistic practices; experts from fine art, dance and digital disciplines will be involved in a two-year research project to develop inclusive artistic experiences between artists and the public.
The project will take place in Italy, the Netherlands, Austria, France and England with residencies in each city. Alongside the dance artists, digital artists and experts from other fields will be involved in each city residency; these are specialists in the history of art, curators, renowned artists and specialists in social media and new technology from the country where the research residency is taking place. They will help contextualise the research of the artists and foster knowledge around relevant topics and tools. The final aim of the project is to engage participants and audiences whilst continuing to focus strongly on building a sustainable future and relevance for dance in its contemporary form within museum spaces.
If you are interested in working with us on this project, please download and read the information provided and complete the EOI form.
Deadline for Expressions of Interest: Tuesday 19 May 2015, 5pm (by post or email)
