What connects a photograph of choreographer Siobhan Davies’ great grandmothers, a page from the earliest drawings of wild flowers and an essay about naming objects by the poet Don Patterson?
Discover how Davies uses items such as these from her own personal collection of images, photos and texts in her unconventional and intimate creative process.
By printing the images on transparent paper and laying them side-by-side, Davies recalls the origins, ideas and connections between these visual materials and herself.
In this event, Davies opens up her previously private process to audiences. Joined by an invited guest, she will discuss her process while researching in front of a live audience. You are invited to observe, probe, question and discuss.
Transparencies is a series of events focusing on the ideas and making processes of Siobhan Davies.
This event will consist of two one-hour time slots, one at 7.30pm and one at 8.30pm. You can purchase a ticket for the time slot of your choice, subject to availability.
