Specifically designed for those with little or no experience in dance or choreography this weekend course lead by former Siobhan Davies Dancer, Tammy Arjona, will provide the perfect opportunity to discover your creative potential using the choreographic methods used by Siobhan Davies in making new work.
Tammy will take participants through a warm up, which will develop into structured tasks and explorations to create movement material. Participants will be guided to playfully experiment with the use of space, timing and rhythms in the creation of their work, which will be developed over the two days in a positive and encouraging atmosphere.
The weekend will culminate in a performance in and around Siobhan Davies Studios.
This workshop is part of the JADE Fellowship. Set up in 2005 for five years, the JADE Fellowship is awarded to a professional dancer coming to the end of his/her career and wishing to transfer their skills to dance education and community work.
