About Ru
Ru Lawrence (they/them) is a well established queer, non-binary artist, movement director, choreographer, and facilitator whose work fuses physical theatre, movement, and storytelling to amplify marginalised voices. As Artistic Director of Tailwind Physical Theatre, they have taught and created work globally, shaping their practice through real-world experiences and human connection. Ru has trained and collaborated with Gecko Theatre, Hofesh Shechter, Frantic Assembly, Babel Theatre, and the David Glass Ensemble, each influencing their dynamic and deeply resonant creative approach.
